No todo el gran arte se produce con un pincel. Aquí está el genio de un maestro dirigiendo una gran orquesta con un bastón. Cada verano, la Orquesta Filarmónica de Viena recibe a un director invitado para dirigir un concierto gratuito en el suntuoso parque del Palacio de Schönbrunn. Este año, las cifras de asistencia rompieron todos los récords anteriores. Más de 50,000 personas se reunieron para ver y escuchar un programa elegido y dirigido por la superestrella Gustavo Dudamel. Lo hemos amado y admirado desde la primera vez que lo vimos dirigir la Orquesta Juvenil Simón Bolívar de su país natal, Venezuela. Así que puedes imaginar nuestra alegría y asombro cuando tuvimos la suerte de conocer y hablar con Gustavo en el aeropuerto solo dos días después de su actuación épica. Aquí había alguien tan cálido, amable y encantador como talentoso. Estamos felices de abrazar al hombre y orgullosos de saludar al artista. |
Not all great art is produced with a brush. Here is the genius of a maestro conducting a great orchestra with a baton. Every summer the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes a guest conductor to direct a free concert in the sumptuous park of the Schoenbrunn Palace. This year, attendance figures broke all previous records. Well over 50,000 people gathered to watch and hear a program chosen and directed by superstar Gustavo Dudamel. We have loved and admired him ever since we first saw him direct the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of his native country Venezuela. So you can imagine our joy and amazement when we were lucky enough to meet and talk with Gustavo at the airport just two days after his epic performance. Here was someone as warm, kind and delightful as he is talented. We are happy to embrace the man and proud to salute the artist. |
